Instructions

1. Step 1

Step 1
Prepare the ingredients for making sushi by cutting them into thin strips. Cucumber, ham, and carrot are cut into thin strips and set aside.

2. Step 2

Step 2
Beat an egg: Mix an egg with a small half tablespoon of starch and a spoonful of water, add a small amount of salt. Make the egg skin: Heat the pan, spread a thin layer of oil, pour in the egg mixture, shake the pan, and cook over low heat to make the egg skin. Cut the egg skin: Cut the egg skin into long strips.

3. Step 3

Step 3
Season the vegetables. Tip: Marinate the vegetables in a dressing made with a spoonful of vinegar, half a spoonful of sugar, and a small half teaspoon of salt. This will make them more flavorful. You can add other ingredients you like, such as bell peppers.

4. Step 4

Step 4
Cool the cooked rice and season it. Tip: Mix a spoonful of vinegar, a quarter spoonful of sugar, and a small half teaspoon of salt to make a seasoning, and mix it into the rice. This is to adjust the flavor of the rice.

5. Step 5

Step 5
Place a sheet of nori on the sushi mat, and spread the rice evenly onto the nori. Tip: Add the rice a little at a time, spreading it thinly, and leave a strip of nori empty at the end for sealing. Place the vegetable strips on top of the rice.

6. Step 6

Step 6
Roll it up to form a sushi roll. Note the rolling method, as it’s easy to get it wrong.

7. Step 7

Step 7
Cut the sushi and serve. Tip: When cutting, wet the knife on both sides to prevent sticking.
