Braised Pork with Dried Radish

About This Recipe

This savory stir-fry combines the rich, smoky flavor of cured meat with the crisp texture of dried radish and the fresh bite of green garlic and chili peppers. The cured meat is steamed to soften, then stir-fried to render its fat, creating a perfect balance of tenderness and depth. Dried radish soaks up the savory juices, while green garlic adds a mild, aromatic sweetness. Two types of chili peppers—smaller, spicier ones and milder slices—bring a kick of heat. Quick stir-frying locks in vibrant flavors, enhanced with simple seasonings like salt and soy sauce. The result is a bold, umami-packed dish with contrasting textures and layers of flavor, perfect as a hearty side or main course. Easy to prepare yet full of complexity, this recipe is a delicious way to enjoy traditional ingredients with a satisfying crunch and spice.
