Remove the chicken oil from the chicken legs, wash them clean with water, and use a toothpick to sew up the opening of the chicken skin. Set aside.

Put water in a pot, add peppercorns and bay leaves, and boil them together. After the pot is boiling, add the chicken legs and blanch for 3 minutes, then put them in cold water to cool, drain the water, and set aside.

Mix the onion, ginger, and garlic powder with the chicken legs and soy sauce, and marinate them in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Heat the chicken oil in a pan over low heat, then add the marinated chicken legs and fry the chicken skin on both sides. Pour in cola to cover the chicken legs, add a small amount of Chinese cooking wine and white sugar, and bring to a boil over high heat. Then, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
