Choose a long and thin Chinese yam, with shiny skin and no black spots.

Wash and cut the yam into segments of about 8 centimeters in length.

Steam the yam segments in a pot for about 8 minutes, or until a fragrant aroma is emitted, indicating they are cooked.

While waiting, prepare the sauce by mixing two types of jam with honey and a small amount of warm water in two separate small bowls, and use a spoon to crush the jam until well combined.
