Peel the luffa and cut it into sections of equal height, place them in a deep plate. Peel the garlic and mash it, heat a large amount of oil in a wok, add the mashed garlic and stir-fry until fragrant, then add salt, light soy sauce, and chicken essence to season. After it’s done, remove the garlic and place it evenly on the luffa, reserve the sauce in the wok. Soak the wolfberry in water until it’s soft and place it on top of the garlic.

Put water in the steamer, add a steaming rack, place the whole plate of luffa in it, pour the reserved sauce from the wok over it, and steam for 8 minutes.
