1. Step 1

Peel the potatoes and wash them clean.
2. Step 2

Cut the potatoes into pieces and boil them in cold water (cut into uniform pieces), add a small amount of salt. After the water boils, turn to low heat and cook for about 20 minutes.
3. Step 3

This is the cooked potato, pour out the water (too hot to take a clear photo).
4. Step 4

Then put it back into the pot used for boiling potatoes, place it on low heat and mash (keep warm), the cooked potatoes are easy to mash.
5. Step 5

Add milk, stir over medium heat (milk can be added in a larger amount), it’s a bit thin at first, but it’s okay after simmering for a while.
6. Step 6

Add butter and a pinch of black pepper, stir until smooth and then turn off the heat.
7. Step 7

This is the finished mashed potatoes.
8. Step 8

Prepare to eat.
9. Step 9

The topping is the beef soup I made the night before, with a sauce added on top.
