Nanxiang Steamed Buns

Nanxiang Steamed Buns

These savory steamed buns are a delicious treat, combining juicy minced meat and rich aspic for a mouthwatering filling wrapped in soft, fluffy dough. The minced meat is finely chopped and mixed with diced aspic, creating a flavorful and tender filling that bursts with every bite. The dough is made from simple flour and cold water, kneaded to perfection, then rolled into thin wrappers with a slightly thicker base for the ideal texture. Steamed over high heat for just 8 minutes, the buns turn beautifully pale and cook until the bottom no longer sticks—ensuring a light, airy finish. What makes these buns special is the addition of aspic, which melts during steaming, infusing the filling with extra juiciness and depth. Perfect as a snack or meal, these steamed buns are quick to make yet packed with irresistible flavor. Try them fresh out of the steamer for the ultimate comfort food experience!
