Cut the burdock and carrot into approximately 3 inches long and 0.3 inches wide, and cut the lotus root in half and then into 0.3 inches thick slices. Soak the burdock and lotus root in water to clean them (as they tend to turn black easily).

Heat 3 tablespoons of sesame oil in a pan, add the deseeded and sliced dried chili peppers, carrot, burdock, and lotus root, and stir-fry them together.
