Step 1
Dry-fry the peanuts in a pan for a few minutes until the skin is dry and easy to remove. Remove the skin by hand, being careful not to burn yourself, and crush the peanuts into fragments using a rolling pin.
2

Step 2
Soak the red dates in water for a while, then chop them into small pieces and mix with the peanut fragments. Add toasted sesame seeds (the ratio of peanuts to sesame seeds is approximately 1:1, and you can add more sesame seeds if you prefer a stronger flavor) and a small amount of brown sugar, and mix well to make the filling.
3

Step 3
Mix a spoonful of milk powder and a small amount of sugar into the glutinous rice flour, then add an appropriate amount of hot water to form a dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface, then roll out a small piece of dough into a thin sheet like a dumpling wrapper.
4

Step 4
Place the filling in the center of the dough sheet, wrap it up, and shape into a small ball by hand.
5

Step 5
After all the dough is used up, place the balls in a steamer and steam for 15 minutes. After steaming, roll the balls in shredded coconut to coat.
