Wash 1 kg of Taiwanese shrimp in clean water, cut off the shrimp whiskers, and drain the water.

Use scissors to cut open the back of each shrimp to facilitate cooking and flavoring.

Chop the garlic into small pieces and cut the chili peppers into small strips.
