About This Recipe
This mouthwatering pork belly stir-fry with green and red bell peppers is a flavorful and satisfying dish that’s perfect for any meal. Tender pork belly is first simmered with ginger and white wine for extra depth, then sliced and stir-fried until golden and crispy. The key to its rich taste lies in the combination of light soy sauce, savory Pixian bean paste, and a hint of sugar for balance. Fresh green and red bell peppers add a vibrant crunch and sweetness, making every bite irresistible. Cooked to perfection with aromatic spices and a touch of umami, this dish is both hearty and visually appealing—ideal for serving over steamed rice. Whether you love tender pork or crave a spicy-sweet kick, this stir-fry delivers bold flavors and an appetizing aroma that will leave you reaching for seconds!

Step 1
Prepare the main ingredients: pork belly and green and red bell peppers.
2

Step 2
Wash the pork belly clean, put it in a pot with cold water, add a few slices of ginger, and pour in 1 tablespoon of white wine or cooking wine. Cook until it is 80% done, then remove it and let it cool.
3

Step 3
While cooking the pork, cut the green and red bell peppers into small pieces for later use.
4

Step 4
Cut the pork into slices (note: if the pork is lean, you can cut it into thinner slices).
5

Step 5
Put the pork slices in a pan and stir-fry over low heat to extract the oil.
6

Step 6
Stir-fry both sides of the pork until it turns golden brown (if the pork is lean, you can skip this step and add a small amount of oil to the pan for stir-frying).
7

Step 7
Add a suitable amount of light soy sauce and stir-fry evenly, then add a spoonful of Pixian bean paste and stir-fry. Add a small amount of sugar and stir-fry to bring out the flavor, and finally add the green and red bell peppers and stir-fry until they are cooked.

Under natural light, it looks even more tempting, and I couldn’t help but take a bite.
