Winter Melon and Pork Ribs Soup

About This Recipe

This comforting Winter Melon and Pork Rib Soup is a nourishing and flavorful dish that’s perfect for any season. Tender pork ribs are blanched to remove impurities, then simmered with aromatic scallions, ginger, and Sichuan peppercorns for a rich, savory broth. The winter melon adds a delicate sweetness and absorbs the deep umami flavors, creating a light yet satisfying soup. A touch of sesame oil at the end enhances the aroma, while chicken essence adds a subtle depth. Simple yet packed with layers of taste, this soup is both soothing and revitalizing—ideal for family dinners or a wholesome meal. The slow simmering ensures the pork is fall-off-the-bone tender, while the winter melon stays perfectly tender-crisp. Try this classic Chinese-inspired soup for a taste of home-cooked warmth!
